"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
The Word of God according to this verse, seems to be pretty inportant, right? The Word was in the beginning, and the Word was with God, and the Word was/is God.
The Word of God is our GPS(God Positioning System) to help us navigate through this life. Our lives are in total chaos if the Word of God is not an everyday, essential tool we use to live your life.
Do you have faith that God's Word will transform your life?
Do you have faith that God's promises found throughout the Word are true?
Do you have faith that God's instructions are there to help us and NOT hurt us?
You might ask,"How do I have faith?" Well I am glad you asked.
There are 5 important steps in having genuine faith.
1. Hear the Word.
2. Read the Word.
3. Study the Word.
4. Memorize the Word.
5. Meditate on the Word.
It takes discipline to follow these steps. I am a work in progress as we speak! I am striving to get there.
The Word of God is crucial in our Christian walk. I challenge you now, along with myself to follow these 5 steps concerning the Word of God!
In Christ,
Steve

Answering God's Call on my life...Faith to faith.....
On August 28th, I announced our families call into full time Missionary Evangelism. I resigned as the Youth Minister at Friendship Baptist Church to answer the call that God has placed on my life. I ask that you all pray for me as we begin to develop our monthly financial support team. I know with today's economy, it may seem difficult to ask for financial support, but God WILL provide.
I am already serving as Staff Evangelist with Craig Church Ministries. The Lord has opened up many opportunities to preach the Gospel at several churches, at the prison in Wilkesboro, youth rallies, chaplain for the middle school football team and community impact festivals. Over the last two months,I have preached 20 times and we have seen 17 people give their hearts to the Lord and 20+ to rededicate their lives to God. The Lord has truly blessed us as we are preaching the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I ask for your prayers as we step out on faith to serve the God of this universe by giving hope to those who desperately need Jesus Christ in their hearts.
"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written. The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:16-17
"And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23

What do you do when you just don't know what to do?
If you are in a situation that you just don't know what to do, i want to challenge you to read 2 Chronicles 20:1-20
This is about King Jehosaphat (King of Judah) and Judah was about to come under attack by two groups of people. King Jehosaphat was very afraid and it says in verse 3 that he feared. Read these verses and look for these 4 things that King Jehosaphat did when he "didn't know what to do" (verse 12)
1- Fasted (verse 3), 2- Prayed (verses 6-9), 3- Stand (verse 9), 4- Believe (verse 20).
The battle is not ours but it is God's!
Thank you Lord for your Living Word!
